Tessa's doctor called last night to let me know that the test results were in. From the echo cardiogram, she has a very small hole in her heart (can't remember where, sorry) that will most likely close on its own. We don't need to do anything now, but will probably follow up with another echo in a couple of years.
Also, her cat scan was fine! Yay! So relieved!! The only thing is, they have referred her to an orthopedic and prosthetic office to have her evaluated for a head shaping helmet due to her misshapen head. It's minor, but we'll follow up with that to see that the experts say. Our appointment is on Monday for that.
We've been crazy busy here between Tessa's appointments and getting the kids ready for school. Hopefully we'll get a couple of warm days before school starts, as it feels like fall here already!

Yay, glad everything checked out okay. I'm sure that small hole will close on its own. :)
I know what you mean about being busy... we're wishing for some warm balmy days too.
So glad to hear the test results are so positive!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh good! Told ya her head was normal--heh heh heh....;P
J.J. had a hole in his heart as a baby (before we got him) and it closed on its own so we'll hope Tessa's does also.
Have a good weekend!!! :)
Oh Michelle- That is FANTASTIC news. I have been thinking about you and I am so happy things turned out well.
Michelle,
so happy the CAT turned out fine. The heart thing seems to be pretty normal. I have a friend, (MIA link from my blog) that had a bio son- her youngest born with a small hole and he was fine without surgery and she adopted through the special needs China program, a little girl with a rather large hole and now it is just about closed up and they are both fine, and very active. So glad this is behind you and now you can start enjoying your beautiful daughter.
I would love to know how she is eating and sleeping.
LOL

So glad you got not only good news but that you got it today so you didn't have to worry over the weekend. Wanted to also through out a term for a Specialist Doctor called a Otolaryngologist. They specialize in Head, Neck, Ears, Nose. May be worth a google for you. My daughter had a Pediatric Otolaryngologist last year as she had 3 tumors in her neck and when we went for our surgery follow-up appointments there always were babies in the office with helmets.
Have a good wk'end.

I am glad to hear the results were good. Have a great weekend!
So glad you have good news and that you didn't have to worry through the weekend waiting for results.
Very relieved to hear the results of her head scan, and I'm glad you found out about her heart so you can monitor it! Yes, hopefully it will take care of itself!
