Happy Mother's Day!

What a day it was. I woke up to my 3 year old hugging me and saying, "I wuv you mommy." Awww. Sigh. It just doesn't get any better than that. I don't know if she actually was trying to be nicer to me today or what, but she sure was full of extra love and hugs. Jake gave me love too...but his was a little more reserved. I think we're entering the, "ewww mom, kisses are gross" phase of boydom. So I had to settle with a kiss on my shoulder. :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful, blessed mother's day. It's a day I dreaded years ago, before Jake, so I know how it feels to still be waiting. Hugs and prayers to those of you whose arms ache to hold your child. May this be your last childless mother's day.

And to my mom...thanks for being there for me ALWAYS and everytime I needed you. You are the BEST mother any child could ask for. I thank God for you and am so glad my kids call you grandma. :) Happy Mother's Day mom. :)
