Day 2 - Hotel

Who was I kidding...you can't shop in a typhoon. All the schools were closed, all the government offices were closed and most of the store were closed. So, we stayed at the hotel today, and caught up on our sleep. The picture above is of the doors to the hotel. They have to wrap them shut so they don't blow open.

Jake & Sara...we continue to think of you constantly. Hugs and kisses babies...seven more sleeps. Love always.

Well, Sleep is a good thing! :) You will need all the rest you can get :) Wrapping the doors shut! Wow, sounds scary from this claustraphobic lady! I would feel trapped, though I understand the reason! Praying for yall a you are in the Typhoon.

Blessings,
Tami

Hi Guys!

I can't believe the typhoon is hitting NOW!! LOL! I know it's not too funny, but Michelle, you and I had joked that it would probably happen while you guys were there--Ha! Well, at least you have an espresso machine and a bed for naps--what more could you need (except for Tessa, of course)!

Taiwan looks AWESOME! Next time I will be going with you....:) That's amazing that you get to meet Tessa's birthmom. Hopefully you'll get to take lots of pics of her! That will be such a gift for Tessa someday.

I took the kids to the museum today and sat on that hard bench all by myself, so hurry back would ya?!? We were there for THREE hours (don't worry--I didn't sit that whole time, believe it or not).

Michelle, I cancelled your appt. with Dr. Verplanck that was supposed to have happened today (Fri.). Your mom called me to tell me they had called your house reminding me of your appt--so I figured out which dr. it was (your mom didn't know) and called them. So don't forget to reschedule when you get back! :)

Well, have FUN and hopefully you'll be able to resume your siteseeing today (Sat.). Look forward to your next update! :)

Love,

Lori

Well Michelle, you are definitely on a trip of a lifetime-as long as you are all safe, that is the most important thing
Get lots of sleep, enjoy what you can, and count the hours to TESSA!!
It has to be tough waiting when you are soooo close to her, yet soooo far away-and there is NOTHING to do but wait!!

Well, life will only be this still for a very short time, and soon, you won't know which end is up again-in a good way!
Hope you get to enjoy the weekend some-although your trip to the gorge sounds just wonderful, except for the nauseousness!
Blessings
Chris
